I have included relevant notes on the sides in respect of major issues that will be involved in this period. So far, I have included Population, Climate Issues and Large Scale Structures. These all have an important part to play in the looming unrest period and will be added to at a later stage.
Using the UK as a model. There are 2 main reason why I developed the daystogo message around the United Kingdom. The first is that I am British and because of that, I have a better understanding of the overall picture as seen by British eyes. The second reason is that the United Kingdom is a major player on the world stage and has influenced much changes, not all of it for the better. I would have been equally well placed to have writen this from an American standpoint had I been American. Discussing these problems from a British perspective should not be interpreted as a sign that this will be a uniquely British event. The scenario which is being dealt with is a world wide one and the significance of both America and the United Kingdom is that they will both be epicentres of events which will spread throughout the world. If these 2 major players were taken out of the argument, then the events would still be happening but the epicentres would be elsewhere.
In our model though, it is the first stage because we have not uncluded the first 2 stages which have already passed. This period will be marked by ......................................................................................Historically, we have depended upon strong government at times of national need but successive governments have ceded the power of decision making making to the real master which is the market. This has worked in quite a successful way but it has one great dependency in the same way that a drug addict has. It requires growth to remain static. Rather like the unrealistic requirement of a drug addict, requiring growth to remain static is a contradiction after all, you would expect stacis to allow a situation to remain static. This growth can only be brought about by progess and efficiency and both of these depend upon some very important factors to enable them. The first is peace and political stability because investment is required and this cannot be made in a fluctuating scenario. In some ways, progress can be seen as a spectre, forever present and offering a dire warning if it is not fed. There is no aspect in the British way of life that has not been daily under the pressure of making progress. We live our lives from cradle to grave under the banner of progress and we are measured in every aspect of it. Our efficiency must improve, our profitability must improve and we recognise the individual penalties if it does not but we sometimes overlook the overall penalties of allowing ourselves to have got into the spiral in the first place.
Nowadays, we create models so small they are called nano models and they can be a few atoms wide but at the other extreme we have macro modelling and this is a very different area. Economics is modelled on a macro basis but becasue it is so complex and requires such an even playing field, the only way to produce a macro economic model is to incorporate the even playing field. As in all modelling, the individual aspects have a mechanical effect upon each other and it is this are which will suffer first.
The equivalent is trying to broker a peace deal between 2 family members whilst going through a particularly painful divorce, whilst your children are taking drugs and carrying knives on a daily basis and you have just been told you have a terminal illness and are expected to live no longer than 6 months. It is a question of what takes priority.
